Part of the pleasure in planning a brand new kitchen is shopping for new accessories, from small appliances and utensils to clever gadgets that will really make time spent in your new kitchen a joy.

It was hard to narrow down just five, but these are our picks…

Any Qi enabled device can be charged by placing the device on top of the wireless charger unit. If the mobile device doesn’t have a built-in Qi, an additional interface is required so Sensio has also introduced a Qi receiver phone case for iPhone 5, 6 and 6+ models.

3. The Oracle Coffee MachineBest kitchen gadgets - The Oracle coffee machine
This machine brings true Italian coffee shop quality to your home without the barista. The Oracle has automatic grinding, dosing, tamping and milk texturing, automating the two most difficult parts of manual espresso. The Oracle also features an Over Pressure Valve. This commercial feature limits the maximum pressure throughout the extraction, helping to prevent bitter flavours in the shot. It also has true low pressure pre-infusion, which gradually increases the pressure to gently expand the grinds for an even extraction.

Iconic kitchen gadget - Juicy Salif4. Alessi Juicy Salif Citrus Juicer
A truly iconic kitchen gadget! The Juicy Salif was designed by Philippe Starck in 1990. Considered a symbol of industrial design, it has been displayed in New York’s Museum of Modern Art! This wonderful gadget is as revolutionary as it is functional – simply press, turn and squeeze and the juice will quickly collect in a glass placed beneath the Salif. We think it’s far too beautiful to be hidden away in a cupboard.
