Keynsham in Bloom

Keynsham in Bloom

Here at Timbercraft’s Keynsham Showroom we are gearing up for Keynsham In Bloom 2014 and to get us in a floral frame of mind we had a look back at last year’s winners.

Timbercraft customer, Mr Bernard, won the gold award in last year’s ‘Private Garden Not Visible from the Pavement’ category with his rather unique planter!

We had carried out a complete bathroom renovation for Mr & Mrs Bernard earlier in the year and had been slightly surprised when we were asked not to remove the WC for disposal along with the rest of the old bathroom fittings.

Mr Bernard told us he had plans to recycle it, giving a whole new meaning to the term ‘potted plants’.

Although we’re not sure that when Mrs Bernard had requested a quiet place to sit in the garden that this was quite what she had in mind!

The theme for 2014 is ‘Growing for Gold’ as Britain in Bloom celebrates it’s 50th year – it’s golden anniversary and this year, for the first time, the judge’s route will involve walking along a section of the High Street, where the Keynsham in Bloom team have been granted permission to place six floral planters.

Timbercraft are proud to sponsor one of these displays and would like to take this opportunity to wish all the 2014 entrants good luck.

With thanks to Dorrian Carrington of D&D Carrington Photographers for allowing us to use the images of Mr Bernard’s 2013 winning display.
