Kitchen Christmas Decorations

Timbercraft would like to take the opportunity to wish you all a very merry Christmas and now that December has finally rolled around the yuletide festivities may truly begin. First of all just a reminder about Timbercraft’s showroom opening hours, we shall be open as usual throughout December but will be closing on Christmas Eve before reopening on Friday 2nd January.

To keep things cheery we’ve been scouring a few blogs online for great yuletide decorative ideas for your kitchen. Forget tired tinsel, there’s plenty of ways to get creative and create a homely seasonal atmosphere. Here are some of our favourite ideas we found.

Wine Cork Wreath
Brilliant idea this but you’ll need a hefty collection of old corks. You’ll need a glue gun ideally to help forge the corks together in a wreath like circle. If you’d like your wreath to be more spherical and neat then it’s quite easy to buy a basic straw wreath (the kind with absolutely nothing on it) and then glue your corks around it to cover the base.

Kitchen DecorationsYuletide Dinner Lights
This one is ideal for those who have hanging lights above their dining table. As illustrated by the picture, simply decorate the base of the lighting as you wish then hang a selection of baubles from the lamps. It brings an attractive aesthetic to the dining area and a pretty centrepiece for the kitchen. Snowman Fridge - Kitchen Decorations

Snowman Fridge
Simple but effective and another great Pinterest find. Clear your fridge off and get some coloured paper or fabric to cut snowman face shapes from. You can decide how to apply them but white tac or sticky magnets work best dependent on fabric or paper. It looks great and helps get the kids into the spirit of Christmas.

Sporky Fork Christmas Tree
Another simple design, a small Christmas tree can actually look very tasteful in a kitchen environment especially when elevated on a work surface out of the way from the main kitchen activities. Decorate it as usual but why not add some attractive vintage kitchen utensils as well? It looks rather sweet and brings a thematic touch to your decorative flare.Kitchen Christmas Decorations
