The brief from our client originally was to update the kitchen including optimising storage, whilst being mindful of access. Upon visiting the property and assessing the client’s needs, our designer, Marcus, looked beyond the obvious and suggested decreasing the size of the kitchen / dining area slightly to allow for the creation of a downstairs cloakroom.

Within the kitchen design, two larder units were included, either side of the freestanding fridge/freezer. One to allow storage of tall items such as brooms, ironing board, etc. The other has internal pull-out baskets for ease of access to stored items.

Carol Macdonald, Knowle, Bristol - Fitted KitchenThe timeless oak Shaker cabinetry gives the feeling of warmth and combined with the light worksurfaces and pale décor keeps everything in neutral tones, creating an ideal living / socialising space. Cut-out stainless steel handles make quite an eye-catching feature and the high gloss finish of the laminate worksurfaces contrasts beautifully against the subtle textured finish of the units.

Although designed with access in mind there is no compromise on the visual appeal of this kitchen.

Carol says “I am thrilled with my new kitchen and cloakroom. Everybody at Timbercraft was so friendly and helpful in guiding me through the process. The result is a space which is easy to use and a joy to spend time in.”
