Fitted Kitchen

Following an extensive renovation of their 1950’s bungalow, Mr & Mrs S wanted a classic kitchen but with modern appliances and plenty of storage. The colour scheme needed to complement the decor in the dining – living area for a cohesive look through the open plan space. Opting for Milbourne Almond was a cost-effective alternative to a painted timber door – with it’s chunky frame and slightly textured finish it looks and feels completely authentic.

The stunning black granite worktops provide contrast against the light tones of the cabinetry, painted walls and flooring. The granite upstands have been curved below the window up to the sill to create a beautifully sleek look.

Providing plenty of storage was key to the success of this design. Two Le Mans corner units plus under sink storage ensure that every inch of space is used effectively.

The tall housings have been kept together in a bank – to the right of the oven is a built-in fridge with a 400 broom cabinet to the right and a 400 pull-out larder to the left of the oven.

The boiler was housed in a cabinet at the end of the run with space beneath for hiding away small appliances such as the toaster, keeping worktops clutter-free!
