Fitted Kitchen Project

Roz & Paul wanted a warm and welcoming fitted kitchen that was perfect for family gatherings and entertaining friends. The archway wall between the original kitchen and dining room was removed to create one large room. A mix of high gloss ivory and walnut cabinetry was used, which complements perfectly the highly polished granite worksurfaces and woodstrip flooring.

A small utility area and cloakroom were also created using the same fitted cabinets as in the kitchen. Matching rooms in the house – even seemingly unrelated rooms – creates a sense of continuity that you, your family and your guests will notice. Each room in the house works together as part of a cohesive unit. Instead of having a series of mismatched rooms with mixed messages, you can choose a style for your home and use it consistently.

Roz chose a medium wood tone colour for the flooring.

Karndean replicates the beauty of natural wood without any of the practical drawbacks of real wood flooring. It easily copes with the rigours of busy commercial and retail environments, so it can handle the toughest domestic situation.

With five kids, two dogs and a husband who insists on repairing his mountain bike in the kitchen, Roz knows the flooring will still look beautiful in years to come!
